Designed for Hong Kong businesses
HK Threat Radar
Global IP blocklists are valuable, but their broad classifications may not always match the network environment and operational needs of Hong Kong businesses. HK Threat Radar is designed specifically for Hong Kong IT and security teams, providing IP reputation guidance with more relevant local context to support investigation and better-informed security decisions.
New: application-layer form sensor
Protect your enquiry forms before spam reaches your inbox
Spam submitted through your own website can arrive as ordinary website-generated email. The HKTR form-abuse sensor checks submissions before the site sends mail, helping reduce junk enquiries so staff can focus on genuine customer needs.
Stop detected abuse before email
Combines suspicious links, promotional wording and other content signals to reject submissions that meet the spam threshold during form processing, before they generate email.
Turn abuse into security intelligence
Reports compact signals such as the source IP, time and triggered rule to HKTR for security investigation. Message bodies and sender email addresses are not included in these reports.
Keep genuine enquiries moving
Uses combined signals rather than rejecting an enquiry solely because of an email-domain suffix or language. Integration includes business-specific tuning and checks of legitimate English and Chinese enquiry flows.
Available through iGears integration for WordPress and Contact Form 7. Other form plugins and custom-built sites require a compatibility assessment. Detection may miss spam or flag a legitimate enquiry, so rules need review.
Business integration
Why integrate with iGears?
Effective protection needs more than a blacklist. Your forms, mail delivery and hosting must work together so an anti-spam rule does not interrupt a genuine customer enquiry. iGears can assess your existing setup, plan the integration and test it before activation.
To start the discussion, share your website address, form plugin or framework, and hosting/CDN details. Do not send passwords or raw customer enquiries.
What your integration covers
- Map the enquiry workflow: identify public forms and connect checks before email is sent.
- Identify the actual visitor: verify trusted proxies and CDNs so shared infrastructure is not mistaken for an attacker.
- Tune and test: configure thresholds and appropriate allowlists, check legitimate enquiries and prepare a rollback plan.
- Connect secure reporting: configure private credentials and the HKTR sensor, then agree whether protection belongs at the application, edge or an appropriate origin-server layer.
Firewall blocking is a separate, reviewed option; a form-abuse signal does not automatically become a network-wide ban. Sending an integration enquiry does not activate protection automatically.
Live IP reputation lookup
Check a public IPv4 or IPv6 address
Enter a public IP address to view a risk score, confidence level and recommendation derived from HK Threat Radar security observations. The lookup does not expose raw events, protected sites or sensor data; anonymous use is rate-limited to prevent enumeration and abuse.
Live IP reputation lookup
Public beta: This is a live lookup of the current database, not continuous real-time monitoring; use “Last seen” to judge freshness.
Privacy: The queried IP and your connection IP are sent to the HK Threat Radar lookup service to answer the lookup and enforce abuse limits. Do not enter passwords, payment details or other personal data.
Hong Kong focus
The project focuses on security information relevant to Hong Kong websites and online environments.
Privacy boundary
Public results contain derived reputation data only and never reveal raw logs, protected sites or sensor identity.
Clear limits
Results change as data is updated, may contain false positives and should not be treated alone as a blocking instruction.
Organisation access
Hong Kong organisation tenant registration request
If you represent a Hong Kong company, nonprofit, educational institution or public body, provide the initial details below to request tenant access. We will review the organisation after receiving your email and reply with the next steps.
- This is a request for manual review; it does not immediately create an account or issue credentials.
- The website does not receive or store the form contents; you must review and send the draft in your email app.
This form only prepares a request to [email protected] in your email app.
Required fields
Describe the purpose and approximate scope only. Do not include passwords, API keys, server credentials, full logs or other sensitive data.
The details are placed only in a draft in your email app. IGEARS TECHNOLOGY LIMITED receives them only after you review and send the email, and uses them to check Hong Kong organisation eligibility and reply to the request. View the privacy policy.
If your email app does not open, email [email protected].
